At the education zone of ORCA LABO, visitors can explore the world’s first area dedicated to orcas utilizing state-of-the-art digital technologies. The area features information on the biological profile of orcas, as well as statistics gathered from a biological research study of orcas from the Sea of Okhotsk. Visitors can witness the significance of life first-hand while learning about the path towards attaining a sustainable marine environment.
This area also features Japan’s largest eelgrass tank indoors, as well as an exhibit of a tank recreating swirling sea tides.
